Narooma Aquaculture actively participates in community releases to help promote the importance of the release of hatchery bred fish into natural waterways and man-made reservoirs and to involve the community in restocking projects. It also provides a good example of where the money raised from fishing permits is put to use (the dollar-for-dollar program is funded by fishing permits).
